How Sapios works

Structured insight from real-world behaviour

Capture

Document selected behaviour with accessible sensors and a defined protocol.

Structure

Organise signals into events, timelines, and clear summaries.

Review

Give qualified professionals objective material for their own decisions.

First application

Medical driving evaluation

Sapios can structure observations from real-world driving for medical driving evaluations. It provides reviewable behavioural evidence. It does not provide a diagnosis or an automatic decision.

Clinicians and authorised professionals remain responsible for clinical and fitness-to-drive decisions. Driving licensing performance data is not a clinical result.

Material for professional review

Time linked behavioural events. Consistent session summaries. Supporting evidence for existing assessment processes.

PROVEN IN THE FIELD

Built for the real world. Recognized by it.

Our automated road-test system is already used by the Virginia DMV and California DMV, with independent recognition for advancing objective, data-driven mobility evaluation.

Partnership areas

Work with Sapios Health

Healthcare providers and hospitals

Explore how structured behavioural evidence can support established assessment pathways.

Researchers and public institutions

Define responsible studies and public interest applications for real-world behaviour data.

Payers and insurers

Study consent based evidence models for service design and evaluation.

Industry partners

Develop sensing, workflow, and data infrastructure for defined health use cases.

Research and future applications

Research starts with a clear question

Our next research direction explores how real-world behavioural data could contribute to a deeper understanding of cognitive and neurological health. Working with clinical and academic partners, we aim to investigate these possibilities through responsible research and rigorous validation.

Defined protocols and expert interpretation

Each project should define the setting, consent process, data governance, review method, and interpretation limits before data collection begins.

HEALTH LEADERSHIP

The team behind Sapios Health

The team behind Sapios Health

We bring together expertise in public health, epidemiology, clinical strategy, rehabilitation, and responsible health technology development.

Dr. Andreea Badache

Head of HealthTech

Ph.D. in Medical Sciences with a specialization in epidemiology, ageing, and disability research.

Andreea leads the health strategy behind SapiOS and develops collaborations with hospitals, researchers, public institutions, and industry partners. She has worked with WHO, ECDC, PAHO, and the European Commission across epidemiology, rehabilitation, health systems, and health policy. Her work connects scientific evidence, real-world behavioural data, and responsible health technology development.

Dr. Delaram Kohan

Clinical Research Scientist

Medical doctor with expertise in clinical practice and healthcare.

Delaram provides medical guidance to SapiOS Health, helping align its development with clinical needs and responsible healthcare applications. She contributes to clinical partnerships and the translation of real-world behavioural data into relevant tools for healthcare professionals.

Credibility

Experience in robotics, sensing, and human behavior

The Sapios team works across robotics, computer vision, sensing, and human behaviour analysis. Health applications are developed with domain experts and clear review boundaries.

Working principles

Reviewable outputs. Application specific protocols. Professional oversight. Partnership led development.
