We're building the foundational intelligence for understanding humans in the physical world - translating how we sense, reason, and react into actionable truth.
Starting with driving.
SapiOS turns a smartphone into a fully automated driving test examiner, replacing subjective human judgment with objective, data-driven evaluation.

Problem
Driving tests haven't
changed in 100 years
Today's driving evaluations still rely on a human examiner sitting in the vehicle and manually judging driver behavior. This system is difficult to scale, expensive to operate, and inherently subjective.

behind SapiOS

Ravi Teja Chadalavada
CEO
Ph.D. in Robotics. Sapios started with Ravi's realisation that there is a systemic issue with the driver tests, and decided to apply his robotics knowledge to fix it. He steered the company from Day 0 to an awarded contract with Department of Motor Vehicles without raising any capital.

Dr. Sai Krishna Pathi
CTO
Ph.D. in Robotics with a specialization in computer vision. Sai built the entire Sapios evaluation system from the ground up - from early prototypes to the current iPhone-based AI examiner used in government pilots. His work led to a system achieving 97% agreement with human examiners under real testing conditions.

Dr. Henrik Andreasson
Head of Robotics and AI
Internationally recognized robotics researcher and associate professor specializing in autonomous systems and robot navigation. Henrik leads the robotics and AI architecture behind Sapios’ evaluation engine. Henrik is an experienced founder with commercial experience in navigation and sensing for autonomous vehicles.

Prof. Dr. Maike Schindler
Head of Human Factors and Eye Tracking
Professor at the University of Cologne and globally recognized expert in eye-tracking and human behavior analysis. Ranked among top 0.5% of all researchers worldwide according to the latest ScholarGPS ranking for 2024. Her work focuses on understanding how humans perceive and process complex environments - a foundation for Sapios.

Prof. Dr. A. J. Lilienthal
Head of Research and Industrial Collaborations
Board member at MIRMI – Munich Institute of Robotics and Machine Intelligence and professor at TU Munich. Ranked among top 0.5% of all researchers worldwide according to the latest ScholarGPS ranking for 2024. Achim leads research collaborations and connects Sapios to one of Europe’s most advanced robotics research ecosystems.
